For home buyers

Know your home’s electrics.

A general survey may only comment briefly on electrics. A dedicated electrical inspection can give you a much clearer understanding of condition, safety and likely priorities before—or soon after—you buy.

A clearer starting point

Better electrical information can support a calmer, better-informed property decision.

Independent, inspection-led support with findings explained in plain language. The aim is to help you understand the installation, prioritise what matters and make a well-informed decision.

01

Fixed wiring condition

Assessment of the accessible fixed installation, supported by appropriate electrical testing.

02

Consumer unit

Condition, protective devices, labelling and signs of previous alteration considered as part of the installation.

03

Earthing and bonding

Key protective arrangements assessed where they are accessible and within the agreed scope.

04

Visible alterations

Extensions, kitchens, outdoor supplies and other obvious additions considered for signs of concern.

05

Priorities, not guesswork

Safety-related findings separated from improvements and longer-term recommendations.

06

Useful buyer context

A clear report to help frame questions, future budgets and conversations with your solicitor or surveyor.

How it works

Clarity before you commit.

01

Share the property

Send the listing, location and timescale, including any particular concerns raised by the survey.

02

Arrange access

Inspection access is coordinated with the seller, agent or owner as appropriate.

03

Review the findings

You receive the report and a plain-language explanation of significant observations.

Common questions

Useful answers before you book.

Is this the same as a home survey?+

No. It is a specialist assessment of the electrical installation and complements rather than replaces a building survey.

Can it reveal every hidden problem?+

No inspection can guarantee the condition of concealed wiring or inaccessible equipment. Any limitations are recorded clearly.

Should I arrange it before making an offer?+

Timing depends on the transaction and access available. It can be useful before commitment, during conveyancing or as an early post-purchase baseline.

Will you quote for all upgrades?+

The report focuses on condition and priorities. Remedial work can be discussed separately if wanted, without making it the purpose of the inspection.
