Electrical inspections & EICRs

Know your home’s electrics.

A careful Electrical Installation Condition Report gives homeowners, buyers and property professionals a structured view of safety, condition and priorities.

What you get with every report

Clear insight. Prioritised findings. Practical next steps.

Our reports are designed to give you confidence in your property’s electrical safety, without confusion or unnecessary jargon.

01

Homeowner EICRs

Periodic condition reporting for people maintaining, improving or planning work in their own home.

02

Pre-purchase insight

Electrical inspection support for buyers who want more detail than a general property survey normally provides.

03

Landlord and agent reports

Organised inspection and reporting that can sit within a wider property-compliance visit.

04

Testing and observations

Appropriate inspection and electrical testing, with limitations and access clearly recorded.

05

Prioritised findings

Observations classified by significance, with the immediate safety issues separated from recommendations.

06

Practical explanation

Clear discussion of what the report means and the sensible next steps, without pressure to commission remedial work.

How it works

A careful inspection. Clear priorities.

01

Define the purpose

We confirm the property, its use and what you need the report to help you decide.

02

Inspect and test

The installation is assessed methodically with disruption kept proportionate to the agreed scope.

03

Report clearly

You receive the formal report plus a straightforward explanation of significant findings.

Common questions

Useful answers before you book.

What does an EICR cover?+

It assesses the condition and safety of the fixed electrical installation within the agreed extent and limitations; it is not a guarantee against every hidden defect.

Will the power need to be switched off?+

Some interruption is normally necessary to test safely. Timing and any sensitive equipment can be discussed before the visit.

What does an unsatisfactory result mean?+

It means the report contains observations that require action for the installation to be considered satisfactory. The report should identify their relative urgency.

Do I have to use Allwire for repairs?+

No. The inspection and report stand independently. Remedial work can be discussed if requested, but it is not the focus of the service.
